Condemning the allegations of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) the over closure of the hostels and messes in Osmania University, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today said that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was spreading false propaganda among the people to malign the image of the State government.
Sharing on X a copy of a notice issued by the Osmania University Chief Warden last year announcing the closure of hostels and messes, the Chief Minister said that the hostels and messes were closed in the university last year as well, when the BRS government was ruling.
"Even in May 2023, when KCR was the Chief Minister, the Chief Warden of the university had issued a similar notice announcing the closure of hostels and messes for a month in connection with the summer vacation. In that notice too, shortage of electricity and water were mentioned. But KCR is spreading a perverse campaign that the university is being closed as soon as the Congress has come to power," Revanth Reddy said.
"KCR feels like Goebbels born again. A few days back, the BRS chief tried to spread malicious lies on power supply when he visited Suryapet and Mahabubnagar districts. Now he is trying his best to spread false information about Osmania University," the Chief Minister said.
