Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today reiterated that the BRS would win the Telangana Assembly elections.
Addressing a public meeting at Sathupalli in Khammam district as part of his election campaign, the CM said that the people of Telangana were with the BRS, and that no force could stop the party from coming to power for a third time.
KCR also slammed former Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy without mentioning his name, saying that some arrogant leaders were saying that they would not let the BRS leaders even touch the gates of the Assembly.
"Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was elected as an MLA four times from the Sathupalli Assembly constituency, while Nama Nageswara Rao was elected to the Lok Sabha twice. I have also been working as the Chief Minister for the last ten years. But never have any of us spoken with such arrogance," KCR said.
The Chief Minister said that the voters should get to know the various political parties' history, attitude and outlook, and should decide to vote for those parties striving for development and welfare.
"It is more important for people to win the elections, and not individuals," KCR said.
Later, the CM addressed another public meeting at Yellandu in Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, where he cautioned the people that the middlemen rule would return and Telangana would go back to the dark days if the Congress was voted to power.
