Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today visited the Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada and had a darsan (glimpse) of the presiding deity.
The temple officials and priests offered him a traditional welcome. KCR participated in special pujas on the occasion, and the priests blessed the Telangana Chief Minister and others who accompanied him.
The Chief Minister also got a warm welcome from YSR Congress Party leaders including AP ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy and Vellampally Srinivas.
Later, KCR met with his AP counterpart Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the latter's residence. KCR felicitated Reddy with a shawl and extended him an invitation to the launch of the prestigious Kaleshwaram project on June 21.
KCR also informed Reddy that he had invited Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao and Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis for the launch of the project.
Later the two Chief Ministers and others had lunch at Reddy's residence.
Those present were former minister and TRS working president K T Rama Rao, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, B Vinod Kumar, J Santhosh Kumar, S Subhash Reddy and others.
