Telangana Congress spokesperson Shravan Kumar said that KCR offered to merge the TRS with the Congress on the sole condition of him getting the CM post.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Dr. Shravan Kumar on Thursday alleged that TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao, along with his family members, had called on AICC President Sonia Gandhi to seek the post of Chief Minister.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Kumar referred to KCR's meeting with the AICC chief after the passing of the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
He said that KCR offered to merge the TRS with the Congress on the sole condition of him getting the Chief Minister's post.
However, Sonia Gandhi did not commit anything. Angered by her response, KCR went back on his promise of merger and opened a front against the Congress party.
Shravan Kumar accused KCR of behaving like a dictator in the party. He said that there was no democracy in the TRS and that genuine workers were being subjected to injustice. (INN)
