KCR Will Forget All Promises, Alleges Rahul Gandhi
He said TRS had no role in Telangana's formation, and promised a 10-year tax holiday to Telangana and a 4000MW power plant if the Congress came to power.
AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Monday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) would forget all the promises that it has been making to the people.
Addressing a rally here at Mahabubnagar, Gandhi accused TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao of going back on his words.
He said that KCR had promised to merge his party with the Congress, and also to make a Dalit the first Chief Minister of Telangana. However, he had gone back on his promises.
Gandhi alleged that KCR would similarly forget all his other promises to the people, too.
He described the TRS as a power-hunger party which could do anything to gain power.
Gandhi promised development and better administration in Telangana if the Congress party was voted to power.
He also promised to give a tax holiday in Telangana for a period of 10 years.
He said that a 4000MW power plant would be set up in Telangana, and all-round development of the new State would be ensured.
The AICC Vice-President claimed that it was the Congress party which turned the 6-decade-old dream of Telangana into a reality.
While accusing some parties of obstructing the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he said that the TRS played no role in Telangana formation. (INN)
