KCR Meets Modi, Seeks HC Division, Drought Relief
The Telangana CM met the PM in Delhi and urged him to expedite the High Court's bifurcation, release drought relief, and give more funds for development.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who is in the national capital New Delhi, on Friday urged the Centre to expedite the process of the High Court's bifurcation, release drought relief, and give more funds for flagship programs and national status to the Kaleshwaram project.
The Telangana Chief Minister called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and closeted with him for about 40 minutes, and handed over a wish list besides seeking his help in tiding over the problems of the State. The Chief Minister pleaded with Modi to immediately release Rs 3,064 crores towards drought relief, raise the FRBM cap by 0.5% from the existing 3% to enable the State get more loans, and allot funds for the ITIR project.
KCR also asked the Centre to release Rs 30,571 crores as a special package for Telangana over the next four years. He also sought Rs 10,000 crores in financial assistance for Mission Bhagiratha, funds from the Central budget for AIIMS, new railway projects, completion of pending rail works, and upgradation of the tribal university into a Central university.
The Chief Minister also urged Modi to extend a helping hand to Telangana to enable it complete its ambitious projects, flagship programs and welfare schemes.
Upon KCR's invitation, the Prime Minister is likely to come down to the State to lay the foundation stone for the proposed 4,000 MW Ramagundam power plant in the Karimnagar district during the first week of March.
