BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, who underwent a hip replacement surgery at Yashoda Hospital on Friday after falling at his farmhouse, and who is gradually recovering from the injury, was made to walk for the first time by the doctors today after the surgery.
The BRS chief took steps slowly with the help of a walker as per the doctors' instructions.
A video of the same was shared by the BRS on the X platform, and many people responded by wishing the ex-CM a speedy recovery and return to public service.
Yashoda's doctors said that KCR's health had improved after the surgery.
"KCR's body is recovering quickly," the doctors said, and added that he was also mentally strong. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital in the next two to three days, they said.
For the uninitiated, KCR
slipped at his farmhouse in Erravalli on Thursday night resulting in a hip fracture. His family members rushed him to the Yashoda Hospital at Somajiguda. The doctors conducted a variety of medical tests, including a CT scan, and on Friday evening, the ex-CM underwent a hip replacement surgery.
It will take six to eight weeks for KCR to fully recover after the surgery. His health condition is reported to be stable now.
