KCR Suffers Hip Fracture, Hospitalised
The former CM was hospitalised early this morning after he reportedly suffered a hip fracture due to a fall at his farmhouse in Erravelli on Thursday midnight.

BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao was hospitalised early this morning after he reportedly suffered a hip fracture due to a fall at his farmhouse in Erravelli on Thursday midnight.
KCR fell when he went to the bathroom around midnight. He was rushed to the Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda for treatment.
According to an official statement, the police had ensured a green channel for shifting KCR from his farmhouse in Erravalli to the hospital.
On evaluation, including CT scans, he was found to have a left hip fracture. Subsequently, it has reportedly been recommended that he undergo left hip replacement. The usual recovery for such cases was expected to be six to eight weeks, the bulletin issued by the hospital said.
The bulletin said a dedicated multi-disciplinary team was providing constant monitoring and care, and that KCR's general condition was stable.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao too posted an update on X that the former CM would have to undergo a hip replacement surgery.
"Sri KCR Garu needs to undergo a Hip Replacement Surgery today after he had a fall in his bathroom. Thanks to all those who have been sending messages for his speedy recovery.. (sic)" KTR posted.
BRS MLC Kavitha too posted on X that KCR had sustained a minor injury and was currently under expert care in the hospital. "With the support and well-wishes pouring in, Dad will be absolutely fine soon. Grateful for all the love (sic)," she wrote.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished KCR a speedy recovery. "Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health," the Prime Minister posted on X.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed the Secretary (Health Medical & Family Welfare) to visit the former chief minister, and monitor his treatment and the progress of his recovery. He also asked the hospital management to provide the best care to KCR, and directed officials to monitor KCR's treatment closely and keep him updated.
