A sprawling new official residence, office and seminar hall enveloped in lush greenery and with elegant facilities will come up for Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao soon.
The Chief Minister today laid the foundation stone for the same, in premises adjoining his current official residence / camp office.
The new facility upon completion will provide ample space for high-level conferences and for parking in a hassle-free manner. A conference hall to accommodate about 1,000 delegates will be built on the premises, and will enable the chief minister to interact with domestic and foreign officials and delegates on various projects.
KCR feels that the existing camp office is quite congested and does not catering to his needs, and so decided to create a new facility. The cost of the exercise is pegged at Rs 30 crores, and the facilities will come up over an 8.9-acre area, which was created by getting rid of some government offices in the area including the IAS Officers' Association building and an intelligence office building.
