The CM today unveiled the hyped TSIPASS promising all permissions for new industries in two weeks, in the presence of industrial barons and business honchos.
The much-hyped TSIPASS (Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System) was today unveiled in the presence of industrial barons and business honchos at HICC by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The new land policy promises a 1.60-lakh-acre land bank, permissions in two weeks, a chasing cell in the CMO, zero graft and 100% transparency, besides basic amenities like water, 24-hour power supply, roads, infrastructure and others. Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma showcased a Telangana abundant with resources, 150 industrial organizations and 28 special economic zones.
With the new policy, KCR announced that all required permissions would be granted to the companies in 10 to 15 days. A special officer will clear applications filed online with self-certification in a simple and single-page format without any hassles.
The event started with a presentation featuring the slogans of "Welcome to Telangana" and Welcome to Hyderabad", "Come, Invest and Let's Grow Together". KCR also launched the brochure of the new industrial policy along with Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao.
The industrial policy, claimed by the CM as the first-of-its-kind in India and prepared on par with that of the Singapore Economic Development Board, was then launched by the Chief Minister in the presence of Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, IT Minister K T Rama Rao, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy and others.
Some 2,500 national and international companies, represented by their CEOs and heads of businesses, besides various other institutions turned up on the occasion.
The Chief Minister then interacted with business honchos and industrial bigwigs on the new policy, and asked them to bring in investments to the state.
Some 112 companies came forward seeking 164 approvals, according to Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. They were ready to invest Rs 6,000 crores, and would create about 21,000 jobs, he stated.
The objective of the government through the Single Window Policy sans grills is to offer all permissions in a stipulated two weeks. Potential investors will be divided into four categories - green, orange, red 1 and red 2. Except the ones in the red 2 category, all applicants will get permissions through the state government, which will take penal action on departments for delays.
"The TSIPASS offers maximum facilitation with minimum inspection to the applicants, who get a right to timely permissions for their businesses," the CM stated. (NSS)
