Accompanied by his Finance Minister Etela Rajendar and Peddapalli MP Balka Suman, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday called on his AP counterpart Chandrababu Naidu and extended an invitation to his proposed Ayuta Chandi Yaagam to be performed at his Erravelli farmhouse in the Medak district from December 23 to 28.
When KCR flew into Vijayawada by a special helicopter, AP ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Ravela Kishore Babu and officials received them at the airport and drove to Naidu's residence where Naidu courteously received KCR by offering a shawl and a bouquet.
Both the Chief Ministers closeted for an hour before the guests were treated to a sumptuous lunch that included the favorite dishes of KCR - Peetala Iguru (crab curry), pulav, naatu kodi curry etc.
This is the second time KCR has flown to Andhra Pradesh after the State was bifurcated last year. On October 22, KCR had visited Amaravati for the foundation-stone-laying ceremony of the new capital city by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
KCR has invited almost all the bigwigs in Indian politics, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union cabinet members and President Pranab Mukharjee for his yagam. KCR also extended an invitation to the Chief Justice of the Hyderabad High Court Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale.
