Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today instructed the officials concerned to fill 50,000 vacant job posts in the several government departments of the state.
After a review meeting with some high-profile officials, KCR directed them to issue the necessary notifications to fill the vacancies in the departments. He also directed them to make the necessary arrangements for releasing the notifications for the same in all the districts.
On the occasion, KCR stated that local youth and talent would be given chances to secure the jobs. He asked Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to collate the details of the vacancies before the next Cabinet meeting, reportedly to be conducted soon. Further, all the department chiefs were directed to provide detailed reports on the vacancies in their respective departments.
The CS then instructed the senior officials in the state to take measures to begin to work towards filling the posts.
Vacant job posts in the police, education, and health departments will be filled as part of this effort.
The announcement regarding the filling of these vacancies is of great importance since the delay in the recruitments had given the Opposition the chance to fault the TRS regime for its "lack of commitment" to the unemployed youth, especially following
the suicides of several youths.
