CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had joined hands with the "betrayers of Telangana", and said that the purpose of achieving a separate state remained unfulfilled due to the CM's dictatorial attitude.
Addressing the city CPI council's meeting held at Himayatnagar on Monday, Chada alleged that KCR was only making new promises instead of fulfilling the ones he had made at the time of the elections, and was just bulldozing people who asked him questions about that. He also said that history would remember the CM as a traitor for cheating the people of the state.
Chada also accused the CM of resorting to caste politics, and of pushing the state into debt in the name of development.
He said that by now the people of the state had realized that KCR was a CM only of words and not of actions, and that they would give him a fitting reply in the next elections.
Also addressing the meeting, CPI city secretary E T Narasimha said that the TRS was not fulfilling the assurances made by it to the people of Hyderabad. He also alleged that KCR was doing injustice to the "real" people of Telangana by developing ties with the MIM which had supported united Andhra Pradesh, and said that that was the best example of KCR's lack of integrity.
Talking about the CPI's own agenda, Narasimha said that their intention had always been to develop all sections of the people of Hyderabad, and that the party was ready for any movement which worked towards that goal.
Party leaders B Venkatesh, M Narsimha, R Shankar Naik, Md Salim Khan, G Chandramohan Goud, Rakesh Singh, T Rajender, Veeresham and others, too, participated in the meeting.
