KCR Grants Monthly Allowance To ST Students

The CM instructed officials to pay monthly allowances to Schedule Tribe students of post-metric hostels, as was done with the SC and BC students.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday instructed officials to pay maintenance expenses to Schedule Tribe students of post-metric hostels as was done with the SC and BC students.

The Chief Minister signed the documents pertaining to these instructions on Thursday soon after formally functioning from the new building complex Pragati Bhavan. The action would benefit 14,685 students staying at 101 ST hostels.

Every ST student would now get Rs. 1,050 to Rs. 1,250 per month. This is the first decision taken by the Chief Minister after moving to the new camp office on Thursday.
