Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today expressed their condolences over the demise of veteran musician and composer Balamuralikrishna.
In a statement, the Governor said, "The country lost a legend a world with the demise of Balamuralikrishna, and the void will be difficult to fill. His life is an inspiration to the current generation of musicians. Following the path laid by him will be the greatest tribute they can pay him."
In a separate message, KCR said that Muralikrishna made his mark chapter in the world of music as for decades, the maestro enthralled people with his rare symphonies and 'kirtans', and introduced the vibrancy and richness of Indian music to the world.
He expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family members.
Bala Muralikrishna was 86, and died on November 22 in Chennai after prolonged sickness.
