Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao condoled the death of Nandamuri Harikrishna by placing wreaths on the latter's body at his residence in Mehdipatnam this afternoon.
First KCR and then Narasimhan visited the residence of Harikrishna and consoled the family members of the actor-politician.
Harikrishna had met with a fatal accident at Narketpally village in Nalgonda district in the early hours today when he reportedly lost control of the car he was driving and hit a road divider. The body was shifted from Kamineni Hospital in Nalgonda to Hyderabad after an autopsy.
The CM and Governor consoled the family members, including actors Junior NTR, Kalyan Ram and Nandamuri Balakrishna and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and others at the residence of Harikrishna.
The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary S K Joshi to take steps for conducting Harikrishna's last rites with state honours after contacting the family members. IT & MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao said that the last rites would be performed at Maha Prasthanam at Jubilee Hills on Thursday. All necessary arrangements were being made to avoid inconvenience to the people, he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, ministers K T Rama Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and G Jagadish Reddy, Nannapaneni Rajakumari and others also paid respects to Harikrishna.
