The founder president of the YSR Telangana Party Y S Sharmila today came down heavily on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao alleging that he was meting out huge injustice to the farmers of the state.
She claimed that the CM was completely unmoved even despite the continuous deaths of farmers.
She made these remarks while addressing a protest meeting of the party workers at Indira Park.
The meeting was held protesting the stance of the CM on the issue of the purchase of paddy.
She asserted that the responsibility to provide the minimum support price to the farmers lay on the shoulders of the state government.
She mocked the CM for holding dharnas instead of fulfilling the demand of the farmers to procure their paddy.
Citing neighbouring states buying paddy by giving bonuses to their farmers, she asked the CM why he was not doing the same.
She claimed that her late father and former CM Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had bought fine quality rice by paying Rs. 300 per quintal as minimum support price to the farmers.
