Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday congratulated two Hyderabad-based private companies, Dhruva Space and Skyroot Aerospace, for successfully sending their satellites and rocket respectively into space.
Dhruva Space sent two nano satellites, Thybolt 1 and Thybolt 2, into space on board ISRO's PSLV-C54 mission from Sriharikota on Saturday. Last week, Skyroot Aerospace successfully launched its first rocket.
KCR termed the achievements of Dhruva Space as a milestone in the history of the country's entrepreneurial startups and also in the history of satellite launches by the private sector. He also congratulated Skyroot Aerospace for successfully launching its Vikram-S rocket.
With these successful launches, both the Hyderabad-based startups had opened the doors for private players in the Indian space sector and had also given a good start for India in the global space economy, the CM said. Both the launches had also brought global recognition to Telangana in the aerospace sector, he added. And Hyderabad's reputation as a start-up city had only strengthened with these success stories, KCR gushed.
The Chief Minister said that the State government would always support those aiming to turn their ideas into reality through their startups, and gave a call to the youth of Telangana to utilise the opportunities being provided by the State government for startups and spend their intellectual wealth for the progress of the country.
"T-Hub was specifically launched to bring out such talents and create opportunities in the fields of science, technology and information. This is just the beginning, and I am confident that we will achieve many more milestones in the future," he said.
Minister K T Rama Rao also extended his congratulations to the Dhruva Space team led by Chaitanya Dora, Kranthi Musunuru, Abhay Egoor, Krishna Teja and Sanjay Nekkanti. "What a proud moment. Take a bow and keep soaring high, (sic)," he tweeted.
