As part of the development of the Yadagiri Gutta temple in the Nalgonda district, designs were shown to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday morning.
Special Officer of the Yadagiri Gutta Temple G Kishan Rao, along with Stapathi Soundararajan, and architects Raj Expedith, Anand Sai and Jagan, showed the designs.
S Narsinga Rao, Principal Secretary to the CM, and Bhupal Reddy, Special Secretary to the CM, were also present in the meeting.
The architects and Stapathi told the Chief Minister that the temple design would have a look like that of a hundred-year-old temple, and a monument.
They said that the design would have lot of sculptural work, and that the way leading to the temple would feel like a cave.
The Chief Minister upon reviewing the design suggested that the whole thing be in tune with "Agama Shastra". He also suggested to them that they study the celebrated temples in Amritsar and Aksharadam.
He suggested that there be centralised parking, and provision for two-way traffic to go to the hill and come down.
Like in Tirumala, there should be a shopping complex to enable the pilgrims to shop, he opined.
The Chief Minister also said that a Yadagiri Gutta Urban Development Authority would be formed with special officer G Kishan Rao as its chief. Both the hill and the land development administration would be part of the Urban Development Authority.
There would also be a hereditary trust. Rs. 100 crores would be allocated in this year's budget, the CM said.
The Chief Minister also suggested that there be adequate place for the pilgrims to rest, and that sufficient number of cottages be built. There should also be a provision for the pilgrims to stay overnight, as it was a customary tradition.
He also said that there should be a place for performing the traditional "vratham" on a mass scale, as also provisions made for a yagasala, a kalyana mandapam and a hall for discourses.
The 10-plus acres of land on the hill should have the temple premises in about 5 acres, and the remaining area should be designed for kalyana mandapam, yagasala and the centre for discourses, he felt.
KCR said that he would visit the Yadagiri Gutta temple on Wednesday for further discussions and a review of the designs. He will also present "pattu vastrams" to Lord Narasimha Swamy as part of the Brahmotsavams on 27th February. (INN)
