Municipal Administration Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, accompanied by Panchayat Raj Minister Botsa Satayanarayana, hailed the support of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader K Chandrasekhar Rao for Congress party.
Speaking to media persons at the state Secretariat on Friday, the ministers said that the Congress was a national party and it was strong, but it would still welcome KCR's support.
Referring to Srikrishna Committee's report, the minister said that it was the prerogative of the party High Command, and Congress president Sonia Gandhi's decision was final on the issue.
Reacting to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu criticising Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi, Ramnarayan Reddy stated that Naidu was craving for publicity, and yearned to get back to the front pages of the newspapers.
The Ministers stated that the TDP chief's idea was to be at the centre state stage by attacking the national leaders so that the press took priority of his comments in their publications.
The duo also ridiculed the former chief minister's often repeated statement that he was offered the prime minister's post which he had turned down.
