KCR's Incompetence Reason For Coronavirus: Congress
The party claimed that the coronavirus cases had gone up in the state due to the failure of the CM, whose delay in waking up to the problem was a big factor.
Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today launched a tirade against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for levelling "baseless" allegations against a section of the media.
Wondering how the CM could make such comments against the media in the state, he advised the CM to change the tone of his speeches.
He alleged that the coronavirus cases had gone up in the state due to the failure of the CM, and that the latter's delay in waking up to the problem was responsible for the onslaught of the virus in the state.
He said that the damage had already been done in the state by the time it observed the janata curfew on March 22.
He said that the Congress had however kept silent despite being aware of the failure of the CM in preventing the spread of the virus, keeping in view the hardships being faced by the people of the state, and wanting not to politicize things at such a time.
He said that his party was ready to support the state government if it chose to extend the ongoing lockdown to prevent the virus, but that the government should follow the Congress' suggestions on solving the public's problems. He said that the CM was not holding any meetings with leaders of other parties, the industrialists of the state or the editors of different media organisations on such a critical issue, and that was hurting the people. He told the CM that the state was not his fiefdom to behave in such an "arbitrary" manner.
