Congress Legislature Party leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka today alleged that the state government had out the lives of the people of the state in danger by allowing liquor shops to function in the state.
He said that the inevitable jostling at the large numbers of liquor stores in the state would be like a petri dish for the virus. These people would then return to their homes, and put their entire families at risk. And given that 30% of people in the state consumed alcohol, the situation was ripe for disaster.
He also asked KCR why he had used the illegal sale of gudumba in the state as rationale to increase the liquor prices.
Referring to other statements of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, he said that it was ridiculous that the CM was claiming that there was no serious virus problem in the state without holding enough coronavirus detection tests.
He also said that it was shameful that the CM had addressed his political rivals from the Congress as buffoons and stupids during his press conference yesterday. He said that many of KCR's decisions that led Telangana to the brink of an economic disaster showed that it was in fact he who was the biggest buffoon and joker of the state.
Vikramarka alleged that the "improper and unpractical" decisions of the CM had pushed the state into an economic crisis. He said that the CM had taken the state to a situation where he was forced to reduce the salaries of the government employees, something that had never happened before in the state or even country.
He also advised the CM to find out the reasons behind the decision of the farmers of Rajanna Siricilla district to burn their food grains, before criticising the opposition political parties.
He reiterated that KCR had failed to fulfil a single promise of his so far.
