Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha today appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in New Delhi in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.
Kavitha arrived at the ED's office at around 11:18 am to be subjected to questioning. She was questioned by the ED for about 9 hours, and emerged outside at about 8 pm.
She has been summoned for questioning again on March 16.
Kavitha was originally summoned by the ED for questioning on March 9, but she asked the probe agency to postpone her questioning to March 11, citing her hunger strike scheduled in the national capital.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had already questioned Kavitha in December last year for her suspected role in the alleged scam. Senior AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested in the same case.
Meanwhile, BRS workers and supporters in large numbers came to New Delhi and gathered in front of the ED office. However, Delhi police put up barricades at the office and imposed restrictions in its premises.
