Karate Kalyani Lodges Complaint On TV Channel

Tollywood comedy actress Kalyani Padala, popularly known as Karate Kalyani, made headlines once again by lodging a complaint with the CCS police on Thursday alleging that a devotional channel was airing stories that were lowering her dignity in society.

She alleged that Ramanananda Maharshi, and the Shiva Shakthi Sai TV channel run by him, had run a program that was derogatory to her and was causing her severe mental harassment.

Kalyani came to the police station along with her counsel and told the police that she had recently come across a program posted by Shiva Shakthi Sai TV on YouTube featuring her, titled Hindutvam Musugulo Naya Dandha, Karate Kalyani Part 1, that had greatly surprised her as she had not given any interview to the channel. She alleged that the channel had collected visuals from various sources, edited them, and then used them to compile the video. There was also a part 2, she said.

She also alleged that Ramananda Maharshi bore a grudge against her as she had criticized his comments on the Ramayana, Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman, and that that was perhaps the reason for the programs.

Upon receipt of her complaint, the cops assured the actress that they would inquire with the channel management and take appropriate action against them, if there was proof of any guilt.
