Re-Polling In 108 Booths

Re-polling will take place in 108 booths in Kadapa, where EVMs were reportedly not working.

The TDP might not be very thrilled about the just-concluded by-elections in Kadapa, but both CEO Bhanwar Lal and DGP Aravinda Rao say polling was peaceful.

Only, re-polling will take place in 108 booths, where EVMs were reportedly not working.

According to Aravinda Rao, 248 people were taken into preventive custody well before the elections, that 320 vehicles were seized, and that 300 people illegally selling alcohol were arrested.

Meanwhile, the voting turnout has been quite high, with Pulivendula having witnessed an 81% turnout, and the Kadapa LS constituency 69.5%.
