Congress Spells Doom For AP: Jagan
YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy has stated that his party would implement YSR's schemes after defeating the Congress in the Kadapa elections.
Participating in an election rally at Budvel, YSR Congress Party President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy expressed confidence that his party would defeat the Congress party in the by-elections to the Kadapa and Pulivendula constituencies.
Jagan further stated that after winning the by-elections, the YSR Congress Party would implement Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's schemes and ideals, unlike the Congress which has failed to do so.
Alleging that the ruling party does not deserve to be in power, Jagan has predicted that the Congress will have to face elections in 6 months again. "Andhra Pradesh cannot be assured of a bright future if the Congress remains in power," he added.
On the other hand, Congress MLA Shiva Reddy has demanded that the Congress MLAs who supported Jagan be punished justly, and pointed out that a few PRP leaders have also joined the former Kadapa MP. (The PRP has merged with the Congress.)
He also pointed out that the Budvel Assembly segment's Circle Inspector Ulasaiah has been suspended by Election Commissioner Bhanwar Lal for adopting a biased attitude towards a certain political party, a clear pointer to the YSR Congress Party.
