K T Rama Rao Plans Satellite Townships Near ORR
The Minister told the State Assembly that the proposal for satellite townships near the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road was pending State approval.

Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao on Thursday informed the Telangana Assembly that a proposal to develop "satellite townships" near the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road was pending State government approval.
Replying to a question in this regard, KTR said that the estimated cost for the development of the housing, also known as Transit Oriented Growth Centers (TOGCs), was near Rs. 13,998 crores.
A feasibility report on the same was prepared, but the Detailed Project Report was yet to be filed, he said. The 13 TOGCs along the ORR are at Patancheru, Tellapur-Nagulapalli, Kokapet, Timmapur-Shamshabad, Tukkuguda, Adibatla, Bongulur, Pedda Amberpet, Ghatkesar, Keesara, Shamirpet, Medchal and Gundlapochampalli, the Minister said.
