KTR Meets Kavuri, Says No Politics Involved
KTR claimed he did not talk politics with Kavuri, but that he merely submitted a memorandum pleading with him to solve the problems of handloom workers in the state.
TRS senior leader and Sircilla MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Saturday met recently inducted Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao.
Speaking to media persons, KTR said he did not talk politics with Kavuri. He said he submitted a memorandum pleading with him to solve the problems of the handloom workers in the state.
KTR said that he asked the Union minister to set up a common textile park, costing an estimated Rs. 210 crores, in Sircilla town of Karimnagar district.
He also apparently requested the Union minister to extend the loan waiver scheme to weavers, and to help sanction Pavala Vaddi loans to the distressed handloom workers.
KTR said Kavuri had expressed his willingness to visit Sircilla after conclusion of the ensuing panchayati elections. (INN)
