Irked over the CM's move of extending K Bapiraju's term as the chairman of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam's administrative board for 2 more years, Guntur MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao, on Sunday, expressed serious displeasure over it.
Talking to media persons here, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao said that he was once again sidelined, and that he had got a raw deal from the Congress' leadership. Complaining of ill-treatment by the leadership, he said that his well-wishers and supporters have been mounting pressure on him to resign from his post. He said he has asked these well-wishers and supporters to observe restraint and be patient.
Rayapati said that he would bring this "ill-treatment" to the notice of the party's high command and the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, and seek justice for himself.
Dismissing media reports that he was planning to quit the Congress for the "injustice", Rayapati said that he would announce his decision after meeting the Congress president in New Delhi.
However, he admitted that the party was not respecting and treating its senior and loyal leaders well.
"This is not good for the Congress' future," he stated. (INN)
