Following the orders of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the Junior Doctors' Association on Sunday decided to call off the 20-day-long strike.
It may be mentioned that the High Court had warned the striking junior doctors of criminal action if they continued with the strike.
In view of the court's orders, the JDA consulted legal experts and finally decided to call off the strike.
They will be joining duties from Monday.
The Junior Doctors Association members went on strike on July 29 demanding better infrastructure in rural areas, payment of stipend and other benefits.
The A P High Court expressed anger over the strike. It ordered JUDA members to either resume duties or be ready to face the punishment, as the strike amounted to criminal negligence, given that it badly hit medical services. (INN)
