Finally, the Jubilee Hills police booked a criminal case against Asom Chief Minister Himantha Biswa Sarma for making "insulting" remarks against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
The case was booked following a complaint filed by TPCC chief Revanth Reddy on Tuesday.
The case was booked under three different sections of the IPC.
The police had to book the case against the Asom CM after the Congress gave a call for a state-wide agitation today in front of all police commissionerates and district SP offices.
To thwart the agitation, the police kept several Congress leaders, including Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Revanth Reddy, under house arrest.
They also deployed police forces at Revanth Reddy's house.
The Congress activists expressed anger over the house arrests of their leaders.
