Nandamuri Harikrishna, the beaming father-of-the-groom, armed with the invitation cards to actor Junior NTR's marriage with Lakshmi Pranathi, called upon Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday to invite him to what is predicted to be one of the costliest wedding ceremonies that the state has ever witnessed.
An equally beaming Naidu received Harikrishna and Junior NTR at his (Naidu's) residence in Jubilee Hills, and graciously accepted the invitation. Naidu assured Harikrishna, who is also his brother-in-law, that the Nara family will ensure that the festivities would be memorable.
Harikrishna's visit to Naidu's residence is part of his decision to personally invite close relatives and friends to the widely-anticipated wedding.
Political watchers expect that the personal visit by Harikrishna will go a long way in thawing the alleged cold vibes that the 2 elders of both the families have been sharing. The reported rift is believed to have been sprouted by the possible successor to the TDP chief.
Naidu is related to both Junior NTR and Srinivasa Rao, the father of the bride-to-be.
The countdown to the wedding had begun on February 13th, at 8.05am, when the elders of both the families had gathered at the residence of Lakshmi Pranathi to write the "Lagna Patrika".
The marriage will be solemnized at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on May 5th.
The Nandamuri and Narne families are planning to celebrate this occasion like never before, and it is believed that no expense would be spared in the arrangements. The guest-list is likely to include the who-is-who of the Indian politics, eminent figures from the film industry, and popular sports personalities. (INN)
