Telugu film actor Junior NTR responded today on the derogatory remarks against the wife of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu by the ruling YSR Congress Party MLAs in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
Taking to his social media account, NTR said that it was common for politicians to criticize each other but that attacking the character of the family members of political opponents was not acceptable.
He termed the incident in the Assembly as unfortunate and said that it had hurt him a lot. He said that character attacks against women was a sign of the ushering in of anarchy in the state.
He claimed that he was not talking as a family member of Chandrababu Naidu, but as a father, a husband and a citizen of the country, and most importantly as a Telugu man.
He called upon the politicians to stop the culture of personal abuses and lay the foundation for a golden path for the future of Andhra Pradesh.
For the unversed, former AP CM Chandrababu Naidu had broken down in a press conference yesterday vowing not to return to the Assembly until he became CM again, after the Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhar Reddy, minister Kodali Nani and Ambati Rambabu allegedly asked him in the course of an altercation in the House if he knew how his son Lokesh was born.
