Joined YSR Congress To Fight Naidu: Botsa
The former United AP minister said he did not embrace the YSRCP for the sake of any posts but to vanquish Chandrababu Naidu's TDP in the next elections.
Former APCC president Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday said that he had joined the YSR Congress Party this morning to fight TDP president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu effectively.
Speaking to mediapersons after joining the YSRCP on Sunday morning in the presence of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy at the party office at Lotus Pond, the former United AP minister said that he did not embrace the YSRCP for the sake of any posts but to vanquish Naidu's TDP in the next elections.
"The Congress did not cheat me. But fighting the ruling TDP by remaining in the Congress will be futile. Therefore, I joined Jagan's party, which alone can humble the TDP," he said.
Alleging that Naidu failed to implement even a single promise during his one-year rule so far, Botsa slammed the AP Chief Minister for falsely claiming that he had waived off crop loans to the tune of Rs 24,000 crores, when he had merely earmarked Rs 9,000 crores in the budget for the purpose.
He also alleged that the Naidu government was totally ignoring the backward North Andhra coastal region in the matter of development.
"I will do everything I can with my vast experience for the victory of the YSRCP in the next elections. The YSRCP is the only alternative to the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. It's time the people of the State launched an agitation against the Chandrababu Naidu government," he said. (NSS)
