Jeevitha's Relative Has 7 Cr In Demonetized Notes

A close relative of actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar was arrested while trying to exchange demonetized currency notes worth Rs 7 crores, in Jubilee Hills.
Hyderabad | 22nd June 2017
Two persons, including actress-politician Jeevitha Rajasekhar's close relative Srinivasa Rao, were arrested today while they were trying to exchange demonetized currency notes worth Rs 7 crores in the Jubilee Hills area.

According to information, Srinivasa Rao had been arrested earlier, too, in a drug smuggling case.

In the wake of the Union government's directive to the Reserve Bank of India to accept demonetized currency notes from the District Cooperative Central Banks for a month, the accused was apparently planning to traffick a large number of old Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 demonetized currency notes, and task force sleuths received a tip-off about this and raided his office in a posh Jubilee Hills area. Finding notes amounting to the aforementioned amount there, they arrested him and an accomplice Ravi, and seized the notes.

It is said that Jeevitha also owns the building in which the office is located. The police are investigating if the actress and her husband have any role in the case.
