Jana Reddy Claims He Will Be Telangana CM In 2019
Potentially triggering off an internecine war, CLP leader K Jana Reddy said that he would become CM of Telangana if the Congress returned to power in 2019.
Potentially triggering off an internecine war, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Jana Reddy today said that he would become Chief Minister of Telangana if the Congress returned to power in 2019.
This is a self-anointment in an arena that also has people like Uttam Kumar Reddy, Shabbir Ali and Komatireddy, all of whom are heavyweights quite likely aspiring and backing themselves for the same throne.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress would win the 2019 elections easily. He averred that it was the Congress that brought freedom to the nation and created a separate Telangana state, and that it would not be forgotten by the people. He also said that the Congress would protect its cadre and leaders.
Reddy also demanded that the TRS government, which assured that it would not increase the bus fares and power tariffs, withdraw the decision taken in this regard immediately.
He also alleged that a single family was ruling the State, and lashed out at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao saying that the latter was looting public money to benefit contractors.
