Congress MLA T Jagga Reddy today came down heavily upon the DGP of the state M Mahender Reddy for denying permission for the party's training program, and asked the DGP how he gave permission for the training program of the RSS.
Referring to the recent visit of the national president of the BJP J P Nadda to the city, he asked the DGP if the Covid rules did not apply to the saffron party's chief.
He also asked the DGP whether he was denying permission to the Congress as it was not in power in the state or at the Centre.
He made it clear that the party would hold its training program as per the Covid protocol, and added that only 160 party workers would attend the program as against the 300 activists of the RSS.
He alleged that no one was following Covid rules in the state, but that the DGP had denied permission to them although they sought permission to hold the program for just 150 party activists.
