The BJP also alleged that the MIM was supporting the Snake Gang which had resorted to chain snatchings and rapes of women in the Pahadishareef PS limits.
Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday strongly defended the Party's decision to nominate T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy as its candidate for the Medak Lok Sabha by-elections.
Speaking to media persons at the State BJP office, Kishan Reddy said that Jagga Reddy had begun his political career with the BJP. He said Reddy was never against the formation of Telangana, although he supported a united Andhra Pradesh along with a few others. His support for Samaikhyandhra did not make him a betrayer of Telangana, Kishan Reddy said.
Kishan Reddy said that Jagga Reddy does not need a certificate by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi to prove his commitment to Telangana. He accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of giving tickets to betrayers of Telangana just for the sake of money.
He added that the failures of the TRS Government in the last 3 months would be on the BJP's agenda for the Medak by-polls campaign.
The T-BJP chief also alleged that the MIM was supporting the Snake Gang which had resorted to chain snatchings and rapes of women in the Pahadishareef PS limits.
Stating that the rapists should be severely punished, he alleged that the gang members were being given political patronage by the MIM. (INN)
