Ministers Indrakaran Reddy, Niranjan Reddy and?Srinivas Goud today inaugurated the Tungabhadra Pushkaralu in Jogulamba Gadwal district.
The three ministers took a dip at the?pushkar ghats near the temple, and offered special prayers to mark the occasion amid chanting of Vedic hymns by priests.
The pushkaralu will continue till December 1. Officials have made arrangements for the same following the coronavirus protocols.?Security has been beefed up at the pushkar ghats and in the temples nearby.
Separately, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy launched the pushkaralu at Sankalbagh ghat in Kurnool.
He also took part in special prayers and a homam.
Elaborate arrangements have been made the AP government too for the occasion, and a total of 5,000 police personnel have been roped for the security arrangements at all the ghats in the state.
