Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh today said that former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy needed to avoid false campaigns.
Taking to his X account, Lokesh said that Jagan had not given even a single rupee to the flood victims although he promised to donate Rs 1 crore.
"Jagan has not distributed even one packet of water or one packet of biscuits. He is in fact poisoning the flood relief efforts. He is spreading fake propaganda that Rs 23 crore was spent for candles and match boxes in the flood areas. The cost of these is not even Rs 23 lakh. The dark rule and dark figures of his government have no parallel in our coalition government. We have released all statistics of our expenses officially," he said, and asked Jagan to read the official figures posted by his government on its Twitter handle.
He alleged that Jagan has siphoned off crores of rupees of public money in the name of the purchase of egg puffs at his Tadepally camp office, and that all the financial transactions of his own government were transparent.
