Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today conducted an aerial survey of flood-hit areas of the state.
He saw all the worst-hit areas of the state during his survey.
Home Minister Mekapati Sucharita, Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani and some officials of the state accompanied the CM during his visit.
The CM has already held review meetings on the issue with the officials concerned. He also wrote a letter to the union government urging it to extend financial assistance to the state to carry out the rehabilitation and the restoration works.
The CM told the Centre that preliminary estimates suggested that the state had suffered Rs 4,450 crore in losses due to the floods, and urged the Centre to give Rs 2,250 crore in assistance.
He also urged the Centre to send a team to assess the loss.
He wrote the letter to union Home Minister Amit Shah.
