Alarmed after some of his Party MLAs shifted their loyalties to the TDP in Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is putting in his best efforts to stop any more defections.
With TDP leaders claiming that more than 30 MLAs from the Opposition were ready to join the ruling Party, Jagan is focusing his attention on prevailing upon his MLAs to remain with the Party. In his efforts to tackle the ruling Party's mind game, Jagan is apparently holding continuous meetings with those Party MLAs of his from all districts who are suspected to be in talks to join the TDP.
On Friday, he held a meeting with YSR Congress leaders from the Guntur and Prakasam districts, where the discussions were mainly on preventing defections. Jagan was trying to elicit information from the MLAs on the feelers they were getting from the ruling Party, and any pressure they were being subject to.
Meanwhile, Telugu Desam Party leaders are stating that the YSRCP would turn empty by March 5. While Bhooma Nagireddy and four other MLAs have already joined the TDP, rumours are doing the rounds that some other leaders like Mysoora Reddy are about to leave the YSRCP to join the TDP.
