Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday heaped praises on his Telangana counterpart K Chandrashekar Rao for the
encounter of the four accused in the sensational Disha rape and murder case.
He said that he was saluting the Telangana CM for taking a bold decision in the issue.
The CM made these remarks while addressing the Assembly.
He said that the brutal rape and murder had hurt him a lot, and that he felt that there was nothing wrong in the killing of the accused extra-judicially.
"Most of the people of the country had demanded of the Telangana government that it kill the accused. I too have two daughters and a sister. The Telangana police did the same thing that I as a father would have thought of. Hats off to KCR and Telangana police," he said.
Citing that delay in the delivery of justice to the victims of such crimes was leading to a loss of confidence in the legal system, he said that the AP government would introduce changes to speed up the justice delivery process.
The CM also said that it would also introduce a revolutionary bill to contain the propagation of misinformation by anti-social elements on the social media, and the increase in the usage of porn websites. He said that the AP government was committed to the security and welfare of the women of the State.
