Leader Of Opposition in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today touched the 900-km milestone in the village of Cherlapally in the Srikalahasti constituency.
The walkathon, titled "Praja Sankalpa Yatra", began on November 6, 2017, in Idupulapaya, YSR district, and has so far coursed through the districts of Kurnool and Anantapur. It is now passing through the Chittoor district.
Jagan reached the 900-km milestone of his yatra in Cherlapally, and planted a banyan sapling to mark the occasion.
Hundreds of men, women and the elderly walked alongside Jagan to express their solidarity with his tour. People thronged the area from far and near lending a festive occasion to the walkathon, and scores of them approached the YSRCP leader with their problems. Jagan on his part lent a patient ear to every individual who had come to him to pour out their woes.
Most people present at the occasion reportedly expressed resentment with and a sense of despair at the four years of TDP rule under Chandrababu Naidu.
