Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy today held a review meeting on the status of Covid-19 in the state.
The Deputy Chief Minister of the state Alla Nani, Minister Kanna Babu, Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney, DGP Gautam Sawang and Special Chief Secretary of the Medical, Health and Family Welfare Department of the state K Jawahar Reddy took part in the meeting.
The meeting discussed mainly the fresh guidelines issued by the union government to implement the fourth phase of the lockdown.
The meeting also focused on the issue of resumption of inter-state bus services, specifically on how buses could be arranged for those who wanted to travel to the state from Chennai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The CM asked the officials to increase the number of buses in a gradual manner. He also asked them to not allow anybody to board the buses between the endpoints, and to run the buses only from bus stand to bus stand.
The CM also asked the officials to gather the details of all the passengers using the buses as that would help the authorities trace them easily.
Jagan also directed the officials to ensure social distance in all the buses, and to make it mandatory for all the passengers to wear face masks.
