Free Bus Scheme For Women Within A Month In AP
There is good news for women in Andhra Pradesh. Transport Minister Ramprasad Reddy said that the promised free bus travel scheme would start within a month.
There is good news for women in Andhra Pradesh. Transport Minister Ramprasad Reddy today said that the promised free bus travel scheme would be started within a month.
He said that a full-fledged review of the scheme already being implemented in the neighbouring States of Telangana and Karnataka was being carried out, to understand the possible problems.
He said that the scheme would not hurt anyone but would be beneficial to women, and that it would be implemented for the next five years.
Reddy took charge as State Transport and Sports Minister in the chamber allotted to him located in the fourth block of the Secretariat. His first signature was on the proposal to set up a training centre to provide better training to APSRTC employees. He also said that the government would soon take important decisions to prevent accidents involving APSRTC buses.
Reddy also promised to improve the sports facilities in the State, and said that incentives would be given to talented sportspersons. He also thanked Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for allocating resources to the three departments under his jurisdiction.
