Congress MLA and former minister J C Diwakar Reddy, on Monday, registered his opposition to the growing
clamour to celebrate Telangana Liberation Day officially on September 17, by saying that there cannot be 2 Formation Days in one state.
The former minister also expressed his fear that if the Telangana Liberation Day is celebrated officially, then separate statehood protagonists would get more support.
The Congress leader said that the party high command would take a decision on the PCC chief's post at an appropriate time.
When questioned if Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would be offered the post, Diwakar Reddy said that, too, was a decision to be taken by the high command. He added that the high command does not show any favouritism to anyone since the best interest of the party is always foremost.
Reacting on the allegations of suspended PCC secretary Ambati Rambabu, he said Ambati has no moral right to talk about him.
