Minister for Secondary Education K Parthasarathy, on Thursday, announced a change in the schedule of the supplementary examinations for the Intermediate students.
Talking to media persons after emerging from a meeting with officials of the Board Of Intermediate Education, Parthasarathy said that the examinations would be held from 15 or 16 May, instead of from the earlier announced date of 23 May.
Stating that the Physics examination would be conducted first in the supplementary examinations, he said that the government would also make efforts to announce the results early to ensure that students do not lose their academic year and would be able to attend all entrance tests.
Reiterating that the government
would not add any grace marks for the senior Intermediate Physics paper, he said that grace marks would benefit only a few students. If the government adds 5 grace marks, only 1,100 students would be benefited, he said. (INN)
