Girls outperformed boys in the first year Intermediate public advanced supplementary examinations conducted in May this year.
Releasing the results at the Board Of Intermediate Education in Nampally, principal secretary (higher education) Rajeshwar Tiwari said that 71.52% of girls and 65.42% of boys have cleared the supplementary examinations in the general category.
Of 6,26,591 candidates who appeared in the general category, 4,26,956 candidates have qualified in the examinations, with a total pass percentage of 68.14. In the vocational courses, 16,967 candidates passed, out of 38,707 aspirants.
Rajeshwar Tiwari said that principals of colleges have been asked to collect the memoranda of marks from the regional inspection officers on 26 June.
He said that candidates have been allowed to avail themselves of re-counting and re-verification from 23 to 30 June. The fees are Rs. 100 per paper for re-counting, and Rs. 600 per paper for re-verification.(INN)
