Rayalaseema Rashtra Samithi (RRS) president K Venkat Subba Reddy will go an indefinite fast from 3 November, demanding the formation of a Greater Rayalaseema state.
Demanding that the Centre start consultations for the formation of Greater Rayalaseema, RRS president K Venkat Subba Reddy said that he would go an indefinite fast in front of the Anantapur Collectorate.
According to the RRS, the Centre must create a Greater Rayalaseema state, with Kadapa as its capital. The new state must comprise Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor, Nellore and Prakasam of Andhra Pradesh, Vellore and Krishnagiri of Tamil Nadu, and Bellary and Raichur of Karnataka.
Subba Reddy said that he would continue his fast till the Centre announces the formation of Greater Rayalaseema. (INN)
